The best place for honey bees to live is in a tree. However, trees that have suitable cavities are in increasingly short supply. In the absence of a good tree the bees may move into the walls of your home or anywhere else they like on your property. The next best place for honey bees is in a beekeepers hive. Without the beekeepers intervention many of these bees would be killed. You certainly do not want to kill the bees in the wall. Imagine the smell of all the dead brood (unhatched bees), mold from the unattended comb, melting wax and dripping honey running down the wall, and the rodents and bugs attracted to all that mess. To get rid of the bees the beekeeper will remove the entire colony including the bees, brood, and honey. Call your beekeeper first - spray last.
